The entertainment at this year’s event will be comedian and entertainer Taylor Mason ( www.taylormason.com ) , winner of Star Search (the precursor to America’s Got Talent). Taylor is a highly sought-after and awarded entertainer! He has done corporate shows for Walmart and Microsoft, has worked for Disney Cruise Lines, and was featured on the national best-selling “Thou Shalt Laugh” comedy films. Taylor will truly have you grinning from ear to ear as you fall in love with his silly antics! Dinner will feature the finest catering available with delicious appetizers and a three-course meal that will elevate the evening! Additional highlights of the evening will include a wine pull (featuring many regional wine makers), an opportunity to “Wish Upon a Star” to remember or recognize friends and loved ones on a star displayed at the event, a silent auction and more! The Gala has become the primary fundraising event for the Grande Ronde Hospital Foundation, which raises funds for patient care equipment and services for Grande Ronde Hospital and Clinics. This year’s primary focus will be fundraising for the SimMan 3G training mannequin system. This dynamic training aid acts just like a real patient would in medical and trauma situations, responding to treatment accordingly and providing a real-world, responsive simulation for our staff. 24th annual Grande Ronde Amateur continues fundraising success The Grande Ronde Hospital Foundation hosted the 24th annual Grande Ronde Amateur golf tournament during the weekend of Sept. 7, 8 and 9 at the La Grande Country Club. The Amateur featured 36 holes throughout the weekend, followed by both a two-person and individual Sole Survivor competition Sunday afternoon. Corporate sponsors Pepsi Cola Bottling Group and Allstate Insurance Brent Wylam are proud to announce the gross winners as Mark Grigg for the Open Men’s Division with a 146, and Kelli Hildebrandt and Beccy Kramer in the Women’s Division in a tie with 157. Other gross score winners include Scott Fletcher for Men’s Open Group 2 with 165, Gregg Corn for the Men’s Senior Group 1 at 144, and Howard Cantrell for the Men’s Senior Group 2 with a 173.
