the hospital, obstetrics floor and nursing home. While there she also worked as a medical examiner and chief of staff. She feels strongly that family medicine is a calling, and her door is open to all. Dr. Betza has been visiting her family in Elgin since she was 11 years old, always dreaming of relocating there permanently. She and her husband are delighted to have been able to fulfill their dream of buying her family’s property in Elgin and raising their son in Union County. Brooke Davis, DO, has been stationed at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, serving as a family physician and clinic medical director for the past three years. A four-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, she is a fourth-generation Oregonian and happy to be closer to family. Dr. Davis loves full-spectrum family medicine, especially geriatric and lifestyle medicine. She uses osteopathic manipulative treatments in her daily prac- tice as part of a whole-person integrated approach to treating her patients. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities with her husband and two sons. Tara Palmer, FNP-C, relocated from New Orleans, where she worked as a rural health primary care provider in nearby Mobile, Alabama, as well as an urgent care/pediatric nurse practitioner and clinical adjunct nursing instructor. She is a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. Outside of work, Palmer enjoys hiking, backpacking, swimming, boating, live music, travel, watching Louisiana State University football and spending time with her children. 2 LIFE AND HEALTH FALL 2020 —Continued from front page Bryan Tolle, DO, is one half of a husband-and-wife physician team who moved back to Oregon from Pennsylvania. Both graduated from Pacific Northwest University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Lebanon, Oregon. Dr. Tolle looks forward to exploring the outdoor recreation this region has to offer. His professional interests include adult and pediatric full-spectrum primary care, health and wellness, preventive medicine, and surgical care. In his personal time, he enjoys exploring the outdoors with his wife, Michelle. Michelle Tolle, DO, is dedicated to building long-lasting relationships with her patients and to professional interests centered on the conti- nuity of care with patients of all ages in family medicine. She is happy to be back in the Pacific Northwest and looks forward to settling down and becoming part of the community. Tracey Tracy, MD, relocated from Clackamas, Oregon. She welcomes patients of all ages and gender identi- ties, from infants to seniors. Dr. Tracy enjoys taking care of multigenerational families and offering minor surgical procedures. She loves everything outdoors. After spending more than 20 years in the Portland metro area, she is excited to be back on the sunnier and drier side of the state. Hospitalist Kim Myers, AGACNP-BC, FNP-BC, is a dual-certified nurse practitioner, joining our Hospitalist team from Florida, where she worked as a nursing instructor and simulation coordinator for the Cambridge Institute of Allied Health & Technology. Her professional interests focus on patient- centered care of the whole person, with special interests in inpatient, critical and palliative care medicine. She speaks fluent Spanish. Outside of work, Myers enjoys spending time with her husband, four children and Labrador retriever. Otolaryngology Steven Pinther, DO, completed his otolaryngology and facial plastic residency at Michigan State University, also working for MSU as an adjunct clinical faculty member. He is a graduate of the Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine, Yakima, Washington. Dr. Pinther provides general ear, nose and throat (ENT) care, as well as allergy and immunotherapy services. He enjoys all aspects of ENT care but has particular interests in sinonasal and ear conditions. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, particularly outdoors, while mountain biking, hunting, fishing, camping and gardening.
